The means of “techne” change over time, but our timeless truths remain. The FaithCopilot Open Data Initiative aims to make common and popular Christian knowledge accessible via modern technologies (LLMs, semantic search, agents, and more). We are collectively curating various Scripture translations, Ante-Nicene / Church Fathers / Patristics, Creeds, Apocryphal works, monastic writings, etc…) for the benefit of all.
An opportunity for Christian Unity
We all are painfully aware of the various schisms in Church history, but there is an opportunity to collaborate around what we have in common - which turns out to be a lot - in Christ!

Technical Details
Practically speaking, this initiative is about collecting, translating, parsing, etc… Christian knowledge into plain text format for as-is use, or for document indexing (traditional keyword search), or for staging to be transformed into word embeddings and stored in vector stores (for semantic search), or to be used as context with LLMs, or accessible to AI Agents, or whatever comes next.
You are invited to participate
Do not be anti-Christ (St. Mark 9:38-41 - “whoever is not against us is for us”).
- You do not need to be a Christian, but you must not work against our shared purpose to honor God in Christ
- Move with a spirit of unity. We may not agree on everything, and at times it may be over significant issues, but we must commit to maintain a spirit of charity toward one another
